Special Award for Innovative Product
In 1995, ACM was recognised and awarded with the Malaysia Industry Excellence Award, Special Award for Innovative Product for the development of Basmi 1% Jumbo, the first of its kind in rice herbicide application technology. These Jumbo tablets can be easily applied into the rice field either by placing them evenly into the flooded field or throwing them from the bunds. The socio-economic impact of savings in manpower, time and cost is tremendous.
Merdeka Award for Corporate Excellence
In 1994, as acknowledgement of the company’s emphasis and investment in R&D, ACM was awarded the Merdeka Award for Corporate Excellence for its 24th placing amongst the top 100 companies in Malaysia with the highest R&D expenditure in Science and Technology.
